Dear Parents & Guardians:

Thank you for your interest in Gahanna Christian Academy. We are pleased to provide the information and forms necessary for formal enrollment to our school. Please read the forms carefully so that you have a clear understanding of our requirements. 

Application Requirements

  • Gahanna Christian Academy is in partnership with parents to support and nurture the spiritual growth and maturity of each student; therefore, every parent must sign the Statement of Understanding. We will provide your child with Biblical instruction and guidance in a Christian faith based environment.
  • First grade students must be six years old on or before August 1st and have completed an approved kindergarten program or be found to be developmentally ready for 1st grade. 
  • Students must have a C average or higher.
  • Students in 3rd - 8th grade must score proficient or above on the Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA). 
  • GCA does not provide special services for students with certain learning, social, or behavioral challenges. If your student has an IEP or you have questions, please contact Cheryll Haugen, Director of Admissions, at (614) 536-1603 or email at

Application Materials & Forms‚Äč - 

All forms and links will be available on February 23, 2017.

(Steps 1-3 can be done at the same time.)

Step 1 - Submit the on-line application with a non-refundable fee of $150.00 (Per student).

Step 2 – Schedule the Entrance Exam - (If you did not schedule it in step 1). A $50.00, non-refundable, testing fee is required at time of testing. You must complete a short on-line inquiry form first. The entrance exam consists of language arts, math and a short essay. Performance on this test may affect admittance or grade placement to GCA. 

Step 3 – Submit the following items:

EdChoice Income Verification form - This form must be mailed to the address listed on page 2 of the application.

* Once you complete these three forms on-line, you will receive an email that you must confirm. Once each form has been confirmed it will be emailed to GCA. 

Step 4 – Once testing has been completed and all forms and fees have been submitted, GCA will call or email to schedule a family interview. At least one parent must attend this meeting with the student(s). 

Step 5 – If accepted, following the interview, the parent or guardian must sign up with Smart Tuition in the GCA Finance Office (Automatic withdrawal for tuition payments). If you live in the Columbus City School District you can also complete the on-line Transportation form.
