Gana placed 7th in the State in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes on Saturday, June 7 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University. Gana had solid performances all season long, but really rose to the occasion during the tournament meets. Until the State final race, Gana had never placed less than 3rd in any race. She set a new school record at the district tournament meet in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.10, erasing the previous best set by Paris Jenkins of 26.21. Gana’s times in the State final were 12.73 in the 100m dash and 26.15 in the 200m dash. Great job Gana, we wish you continued success!
